6,982 positive cases detected on a single day in Assam

GUWAHATI: The COVID-19 caseload in the State saw a significant jump on Monday as 6,982 positive cases were detected. Along with the number of cases, the number of fatalities has also increased. On Sunday, the number of deaths was 5 and today it increased to 11. The overall positivity rate is 10.75 per cent. In Kamrup (metro) district alone, 1,491 positive cases were detected today.
