AAP protests amendment to land acquisition Act

GUWAHATI, January 6: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Assam today submitted a memorandum, addressed to the Prime Minister, to the Kamrup (M) deputy commissioner in protest against the amendment to the  Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation Act, 2013 by the NDA government at the  Centre. The party said that the amendment would help capitalists grab the agricultural lands from poor farmers.
