GUWAHATI: The Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment Summit witnessed the signing of MoUs worth over Rs 1 lakh crore, besides the signing of non-financial MoUs with Japan and Singapore, on its very first day today.
The MoUs range from the setting up of nurse training centres to oil explorations. Most of the MoUs were signed in the presence of the chief minister and other ministers.
The government signed an MoU worth Rs 30,000 crore with Tata Power Company in the renewable energy sector, a Rs 23,300-crore MoU with OIL in the exploration sector, a Rs 10,711-crore MoU with NRL, a Rs 5,000-crore MoU with Adani Total Gas Ltd, a Rs 5,850-crore MoU with Greenko Energy, a Rs 350-crore MoU with Welspun Energy in the renewable energy sector, a Rs 2,100-crore MoU with ESSAR Group, a Rs 1,200-crore MoU with Indradhanus Gas Grid, a Rs 260-crore MoU with Biofriend Industry, a Rs 150-crore MoU with Lilavati Hospital Ltd. to set up a multi-specialist hospital, a Rs 400-crore MoU with JB Marriot Hotel, a Rs 7,000-crore MoU with JSW Energy to set up a renewal energy project, a Rs 1,500-crore MoU with TCC Concept Ltd., a Rs 3,000-crore MoU with Punjab National Bank Services Ltd. to set up an alternative investment fund in Assam, Rs 197-crore MoU with SS Poultry, Rs 5,600-crore MoU with Siddhartha in Infra Tech, Rs 450-crore MoU with Bondada Engineering Ltd., Rs 250-crore MoU with Subhiksa Breeding Farm, Rs 150-crore MoU with DP World, etc.
Apart from these, the government also signed non-financial MoUs with the Ministry of Trade and Industries, Singapore, for imparting training on nursing talent skills, and Japan’s Meico Carrier Partner for imparting training on the Japanese language for their placements in Japanese establishments.
