APCC Appointed Debabrata Saikia as leader of Congress Legislature Party in Assam

Congress Party Restructuring in Assam: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee appointed Debabrata Saikia as the leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP). Further, Rakibul Hussain has been appointed as deputy leader of Congress Legislature Party(CLP). On the other hand, Wajed Ali Choudhury is the new Chief Whip of legislature party.

Deputy Chief Whip of Congress Legislature Party- Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, Secretary of Congress Legislature Party- Rupjyoti Kurmi, Spokesperson of Congress Legislature Party- Susanta Borgohain and Treasurer of Congress Legislature Party- Rekibuddin Ahmed.

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora has notified the same to the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly via letter. It is to be mentioned here that Debabrata Saikia will also be the leader of opposition of the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
