Guwahati: The Assam State Election Commission (ASEC) today published the Final Photo Electoral Rolls for the 40 Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) constituencies. The rolls will be used for the forthcoming BTC election, 2025. With the publication of the final photo electoral rolls, the ASEC is all set to conduct the BTC election.

According to ASEC, the Final Photo Electoral Rolls incorporate the inclusion of 81 new villages in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), pursuant to the delimitation notification dated June 25, 2025, issued by the Government of Assam.

The final photo rolls contain the names of 26,58,477 voters. Of this, male voters comprise 13,23,673, females 13,34,787 and others number 17. Currently, the total number of polling stations is 3,279 in 40 BTR constituencies. However, the total number of polling stations is subject to change, as the final list of polling stations will be published on August 18, 2025, after the completion of the rationalisation process.

The Final Electoral Roll (without photo) would be available for the public and voters in the following places: (i) Offices of the Circle Officer, (ii) Offices of the Block Development Officer, (iii) Municipality, Town Committee, Sub Registry Offices, Police Stations, Tea Gardens, Gaon Panchayat/Village Council Development Committee Offices located within the constituency, and (iv) OERMS (https://ermssec.assam.gov.in) website and relevant website of the District Administration.

The electors can check their names on the Final Electoral Roll either through their Electors’ Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number already allotted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) or by downloading the Final Roll of their Polling Station from the citizen corner on the said website. Further, in order to encourage elector participation and to involve more electors, the Commission has decided to consider the claims for enrolment in the BTC Electoral Roll till the last date of filing nominations of those individuals who are eligible as electors as per the current summary revision exercise of the ECI and whose names are reflected in the ECI Supplementary Roll as well as those possessing a valid EPIC.

The BTC election process is scheduled to be completed before the advent of the Durga Puja. This election is the last major election before the Assembly elections in 2026.
