Assam Assembly: Congress and CPI (M) MLAs Staged Walkout

Guwahati: Opposition Congress and CPI (M) MLAs staged a walkout in the state Assembly on Monday after being dissatisfied at state minister Chandra Mohan Patowary's reply over the attack on Congress MP Rakibul Hussain. The Congress party alleged that the main accused named in the FIR are yet to be apprehended. Minister Patowary replied that, of the 22 accused named in the FIR, two have been arrested and the rest are absconding, even as the police are trying to nab them at the earliest.
