Silchar: After the export-import traders of Sribhumi, it was now the turn of the hoteliers to ban the Bangladeshi citizens from staying in their hotels. The Barak Valley Hotel and Restaurant Association had announced their decision in a press meet. A spokesperson of the association said that the way the Hindus were being subjected to terrible sufferings in Bangladesh, it was high time to raise a protest by every Indian on their own terms. Condemning the anti-India stance by both the interim government as well as the general people of the neighbouring country, the hoteliers said they would not host any Bangladeshi in their premises until the situation was back to normal.
Earlier this week, the export-import traders of the bordering district Sribhumi had similarly banned all sorts of business with their Bangladeshi counterparts. In Tripura too the hotel owners had decided to ban the entry of Bangladeshi guests.
