Assam Cabinet Approves ‘CM FLIGHT’ Scheme to Send Youth to Japan
Guwahati: In a major step towards enhancing global job opportunities for youth, the Assam Cabinet has approved the launch of the CM FLIGHT Program which is a government-backed scheme designed to provide skill and language training for employment in Japan.
Under this initiative, selected candidates will receive a subsidy of ₹1.5 lakh to undergo professional training in the Japanese language, a key requirement for placement in Japanese industries.
Once the language course is successfully completed, the beneficiaries will also be placed in short-term, paid work opportunities in Japan, offering them valuable international experience.The move aims to boost overseas employability of Assam’s youth while promoting cross-cultural exchange and skill development.
Officials said the scheme will be implemented in collaboration with relevant institutions and partners, ensuring proper training, support, and placement in Japan’s job market.More details on eligibility and the application process are expected to be released soon.
