BONGAIGAON: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today laid the foundation stones of several projects worth around Rs 693 crore in the Bongaigaon district on the first day of 'A Fortnight for Development'. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Bongaigaon Medical College which will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 610 crore. He also assured that the medical college would be completed within three years.

Along with the medical college, Sarma also laid the foundation stone of other projects such as the new Integrated DC office at a cost of Rs 49.79 crore, statue of King Naranarayan at Walking Zone to be built at the cost of Rs 6.26 crore and upgradation of Bongaigaon Polytechnic and Laboratory of ITI etc.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Srijangram Model Hospital built at a cost of Rs 4.40 crore and the dining hall of Ganesh Mandir at Lalmati, Abhayapuri built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.
