GUWAHAT: On Tuesday, Assam crossed another milestone as more than 1 crore people got inoculated with the second dose of anti-COVID vaccination.
Official data indicate that up to 8 pm of November 16, 2021, a total of 1,00,82,523 people received the second dose of the vax across the State. Besides up to the mentioned time, a total of 2,05,73,722 people got the first dose. During the day, altogether 2,32,225 people were vaccinated in 3,633 sites.
Mentionably, the State government has restarted the vaccination drive on a mission mode. Health Department sources informed that the State has a sufficient number of vaccination doses with over 56,000 stocks available in the State up to Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta has again urged the people — who are yet to be vaccinated — to come forward and get vaccinated.
