GUWAHATI: The state government is now taking measures to put an end to human interference in transfer and posting with the use of technology. The government will bring more such services relating to employees to end human interference.
To begin with, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremonially distributed mutual transfer orders through the Swagata Satirtha Portal. The government today delivered 9,004 mutual transfer orders of third- and fourth-grade employees through this portal.
The Chief Minister also launched the portal of the CM's Jibon Anuprerana Scheme today.
Speaking at the mutual transfer certificate distribution ceremony, the Chief Minister said, "As and when one talks of the transfer of employees, a vivid picture of the role of ministers, MLAs, officers and others comes first. The employees seeking transfer have to frequent Dispur to get their transfer order passed. This practice burns holes in their pockets. The aim of the Swagata Satirtha Portal is to make the process of transfer and posting transparent and clear, besides putting an end to human interference. We are also going to include more services like casual leave, earned leave, etc., also in the portal to make them transparent."
The Chief Minister said, "The government is trying its best to ensure the mental satisfaction of its employees so as to boost the work culture. We've taken several employees' welfare schemes that are not known in other states. Other states have started emulating our schemes."
Regarding appointments, the Chief Minister said, "The transparent appointment of thousands of candidates taking place without any anomalies in the state is unique in the country. Many other states seek the modus operandi we have followed to make appointments a transparent process. Even at his recent meeting with the chief ministers of the state, the prime minister appreciated our efforts to check child marriage in the state. He appealed to the chief ministers of other states to adopt a similar approach to put an end to child marriage."
Launching the portal for the Jibon Anuprerana Scheme, the Chief Minister said, "Through this scheme, the government will offer a one-time grant of Rs 25,000 for general researchers and Rs 40,000 for divyang researchers. The only condition is that such scholars will have to do their research work in government universities and institutions."
