GUWAHATI: The toll in floods across Assam rose to 103 with the death of a person during the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the main rivers and their tributaries were flowing over the danger level inundating several places.

According to the ASDMA's daily flood bulletin, one person died at Bokakhat in Golaghat district.

The Brahmaputra is flowing above the danger level at Neamatighat in Jorhat, Tezpur in Sonitpur, Goalpara and Dhubri; Dhansiri at Numaligarh in Golaghat district; Jia Bharali at NT Road Crossing in Sonitpur district; Kopili at Dharamtul in Nagaon district; and the Beki at Road Bridge in Barpeta district.

Altogether 22 out of the 33 districts of the State have been affected. The flood-affected districts are Dhemaji, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Darrang, Baksa, Nalbari, Barpeta, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara, Goalpara, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Morigaon, Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, and Dibrugarh.

As many as 22,33,920 persons in 2,026 villages/ localities across 64 Revenue Circles have been affected. Altogether 45,565 persons have taken shelter in 259 relief camps. Altogether 173 relief distribution centres have been set up.

The total crop area affected till date is 1,09,236.62 hectares.

Altogether 8,07, 690 big animals have been affected besides 4,29, 096 small animals and 9,03, 092 poultry have been affected till Monday evening.

Embankments, roads and bridges/culverts have been breached at many places. Erosion has been reported from various places in Bongaigaon, Majuli, and Udalguri districts.

While 62 camps have been affected in Kaziranga National Park, three others have been vacated across the Park. On the other hand, while 132 Park animals have died, 162 others have been rescued till date.
