Assam flood toll rises to 38

GUWAHATI: Two persons died due to floods in the past 24 hours in the state. With these, the flood and landslide toll in the state rose to 38. Five people died in landslides. Five districts – Cachar, Dima Hasao, Kamrup (M), Morigaon and Nagaon – are still reeling under floods in the state. Floodwaters inundated 171 villages affecting 1,01,926 people.
