Assam Government Appointed IPS Officer Diganta Barah as New Home Secretary

GUWAHATI: For the first time, the State Government appointed an IPS officer to the post of Home Secretary. In an order issued on Wednesday, DIG (Administration) Diganta Barah was transferred and posted as the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Home.
