Assam: Heroin Worth Rs 9 Crore Seized; 4 Arrested by STF

GUWAHATI: Sleuths of the STF intercepted a Scorpio car from Mizoram at Amingaon in the wee hours of January 14 and recovered 1.128 kg of heroin worth around Rs 9 crore from it. The STF arrested two persons—Onkhogin Touthing and Thangkhaelien—in that connection. Based on the confessional statement of the duo, the police later arrested Nurul Hussain of Hajo and Bitul Ali of Goreswar, who would be receivers of the consignment.
