GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has made it clear that the students who have not cleared HS final examinations in five years will have to register their names in the Council afresh to appear in the HS final examinations again.

In a notification, the AHSEC said that “the registration number of a student is valid for a maximum period of five years from the date of registration of the student in the Council, and an unsuccessful student is allowed to appear in the HS Final Examination within the five-year period. After expiry of the stipulated time-frame of five years, a student is required to apply for special permission from the Council for re-registration of his or her name in the Council”.
