Assam: Holiday for North Cachar Hill Autonomous Council Poll on January 8

GUWAHATI: January 8 has been declared a public holiday in North Cachar Hill Autonomous Council (NCHAC) on account of the Council’s election. All offices and educational institutions, including banks, tea gardens, etc., falling within areas covered by the Council, will remain closed on that day.
