Assam Polls 2021: Police firing in Kalaigaon LAC

MANGALDAI: The police resorted to open fire in the air to disperse a mob at village Rajapukhuri in 65 Kalaigaon LAC this evening. According to report, an agitated mob tried to ghearo the polling officials at the polling centre at Chenimari LP School and prevented the poll officials who were on their way back to Mangaldai along with the EVM and other poll materials. SP Amrit Bhuyan rushed to the spot and finding no alternative ordered for firing in the air.
