Assam Registers 3,463 New COVID Positive Cases And 42 Deaths

GUWAHATI: Even though the COVID-19 positivity rate remained the same at 2.14 per cent against 2.16 per cent on Friday, the death toll due to the virus rose to 42 on Saturday. COVID-19 tests of 1.61 lakh people were conducted on Saturday leading to the detection of 3,463 new cases. The highest number of 267 new COVID-19 positive cases was detected in Sonitpur district, followed by Cachar with 264 cases, Kamrup (M) with 246 cases and Tinsukia with 212 cases.
