Guwahati: In a reshuffle of IPS officers in the state, according to an order issued by the Home (A) department on Monday, Dr. V. Siva Prasad Ganjala, on repatriation from Central deputation, has been posted as Inspector General of Police (Central Range), Nagaon, and in-charge Deputy Inspector General of Police (Hills Range), Diphu, as an additional charge with effect from the date of taking over charge from Devojyoti Mukherjee, who has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police (Border), Srimantapur, Guwahati, with effect from the date of taking over charge from Prasanta Sagar Changmai.
Changmai, in turn, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police (Northern Range), Tezpur, with effect from the date of taking over charge from Bijoy Giri Kuligam, who has been transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR), Bongaigaon, with effect from the date of taking over charge against the existing vacancy.
Moreover, a major reshuffle was done among APS officers in the state, and a large number of officers were transferred and posted at different places.
