SIVASAGAR: In a significant move to preserve and beautify its rich historical legacy, the Sivasagar district administration initiated an extensive cleanliness and beautification campaign targeting the district’s major heritage landmarks, temples, tourist spots, and public gardens. The initiative is aimed at not only maintaining cleanliness but also enhancing the visual appeal of these sites, which reflect the grandeur of the 600-year-old Ahom reign.
Sivasagar, known for its magnificent monuments and historical significance, has long been a symbol of Assam’s glorious past. With this initiative, the Sivasagar district administration is making concerted efforts to highlight and restore the aesthetic charm of its renowned sites such as the Rang Ghar, various temples, and parks.
