Assamese language made compulsory for all government notifications

Starting the first day of the Assamese New Year, it is now compulsory to use the Assamese language for all government notifications, orders, legislation, etc., across the state.

Guwahati: Starting the first day of the Assamese New Year, it is now compulsory to use the Assamese language for all government notifications, orders, legislation, etc., across the state. In the districts of Barak Valley and BTR, the Bengali and Bodo languages shall be used, respectively, along with English.
