ATC (Assam Tea Corporation) to pay 20% bonus to workers

GUWAHATI: The ATC (Assam Tea Corporation) Ltd will pay a 20 per cent bonus to its workers.

Talking to The Sentinel, Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said, "The government paid 20 per cent bonus to the workers of the ATC gardens last year. This year also the State Government decided to pay a 20 per cent bonus to the ATC garden workers. We will pay the bonus before the Durga Puja."

The ATC is a state-owned corporation with 15 tea gardens. The 15 gardens have around 16,000 workers. The Durga Puja is from October 11, 2021.
