Bishnu Khargoria honoured with the 'Anandaram Dhekial Phukan Award-2020'

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday presented the 'Anandaram Dhekial Phukan Award-2020', to eminent actor Bishnu Khargoria at a function held at Nagaon.

The award has been conferred by Anandaram Dheikial College. Speaking on the occasion held at the premises of the college, Chief Minister Sonowal said that it is really a matter of pride and prestige to honour an eminent personality by an award instituted after the name of a great personality. The CM pointed out that Anandaram Dhekial Phukan was a litterateur and linguist of repute. He also called upon everybody to concentrate on agriculture and commerce. He said that in order to put that appeal into practice, everybody should go forward adopting modern outlook of science and technology, stated a release.
