BJP leader Biswajit Daimary elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Assam

GUWAHATI: BJP leader Biswajit Daimary was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Assam on the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers on Monday. The election was necessitated as Daimary resigned from RS in 2020 after he switched over to the BJP from the Bodoland People's Front.
