BJP observes black day - 12 Dec, 2015

GUWAHATI, Dec 11: The BJP today observed black day in all organizatiol districts of the party in the State in protest against the crackdown of the police on the leaders and cadres of the Saffron party on December 9 during their Dispur gherao progamme in the city.

A number of leaders and cadres of the BJP were injured in the police action on them during the protest against, what they said, corruption and all-round failure on the part of the government at Dispur. In Guwahati, the day was observed by the Guwahati City District Committee of the party at Dighalipukhuripar in the city where prominent leaders like BJPLP leader Jadav Deka, MLAs Ranjit Das and Prasanta Phukan, took part. The protestors criticized the State Government on the police crackdown on them when they were a democratic agitation.

Such protest were observed at Barpeta, Majuli, Dibrugarh and other organizatiol districts of the party in the State.
