CLP leader Debabrata Saikia Announced Leader of Opposition in Assam Assembly

GUWAHATI: At the end of the session of the 15th Assam Assembly, Speaker Biswajit Daimary declared the recognition of CLP leader Debabrata Saikia as the Leader of Opposition. According to Assembly rules, the leader of an Opposition party with 21 members in the 126-member House gets this status. The Congress has 29 members in the House.
