GUWAHATI: With a view to ensure transparent recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Assam Police, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reconstituted the State Level Police Recruitment Board on Monday.
Following the resignation of retired IPS officer Pradeep Kumar from the post of Chairman of the Board on Sunday, Chief Minister Sonowal appointed DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta as the new Chairman, besides ADGP Harmeet Singh as the Member Secretary and ADGP LR Bishnoi and IGP Hiren Nath as Members of the Board.
Chief Minister Sonowal further directed the Board to complete the written examination within November 20, 2020. The Chief Minister also asked the Board to conduct the examination in the most transparent manner and ensure that no anomaly takes place in the recruitment process, stated a release.
