Draw a line between 'what you need to do' and 'what you need not' on social media regarding sharing photos or other information about your children. It is one of the responsibilities of parents. Assam Police have sounded an alert that 'sharenting' – overuse of social media by parents to share content based on their children – may lead to problems for children in the form of threats, atrocities through secrecy and identity theft, the revelation of secrecy, sexual abuse, stalking etc.
