
Consumers shopping online need to ensure the crucial policy of 'the refund of money and the exchange of goods bought'. If online shops do not offer this policy, the consumers cannot demand a refund of their money or an exchange of the goods bought in the event of the goods not being in sync with the specifications they sought. The Department of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs appealed to consumers to dial the toll-free number 1800-345-3588 for help if they are in trouble with online shopping.
