Darrang Police arrested two criminals with pistol

MANGALDAI: Darrang Police on Sunday night arrested two criminals and recovered one pistol along with four rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition from their possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Hyder Ali (52) of village No.1 Shyampur and Abdul Wahed (40) of village Rowmari — both under Shyampur Police Station. Acting on a tip-off, the Officer-in-charge of Shyampur Police Station along with SI Parag Hazarika and other personnel nabbed the duo from a vehicle on the Rowmari-Sialmari Road.
