Essential services not to be halted for CM's convoy

Guwahati, May 26: A day after an ambulance was stopped by traffic personnel to allow his convoy pass, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today ordered the police not to stop any patient carrying ambulance and other essential services to give way for CM’s convoy. In a directive, Chief Minister Gogoi said that essential services like fire brigades, ambulances etc should not be stopped in the me of security to CM’s convey, causing inconveniences to the people in need. The order will come into force with immediate effect, a communiqué from the Chief Minister’s Office said.
