SHILLONG, Dec 23: Former Governor of Meghalaya Banwari Lal Joshi is no more. He passed away on Friday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi after a brief illness. Joshi breathed his last after undergoing treatment for cardiac and respiratory issues, said doctors. He was 81. Joshi was appointed as the governor of Meghalaya on April 12, 2007 to October 28 2007. He was the Governor of the State for seven months. He was also the governor of Uttarakhan, Utter Pradesh and Lt Governor of Delhi.
