Former Congress Leader Matang Singh No More

GUWAHATI: Former Central Minister and Congress leader Matang Singh breathed his last in a hospital in Delhi, following liver aliment.

Singh was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Assam in 1992 and served as Union Minister of State (MoS) in Parliamentary Affairs from 1994 to 1998.

Matang Singh was born in 1962 to SP Singh and Rani Rukmini Singh in Tinsukia, Assam.

APCC president Ripun Bora has condoled the demise of Matang Singh.
