KOKRAJHAR: The four-day Gunotsav-2022, which began on May 23 in Kokrajhar district has ended smoothly on Thursday. Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka expressed her gratitude and satisfaction on the smooth completion of Gunotsav-2022 in the district. She conveyed her sincere gratitude to all the public representatives, officials and staff involved in the process, including top officers of the Government of Assam who had visited the district and evaluated the performance of students and schools.

It may be stated that as External Evaluators, Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary, MLAs Jayanta Basumatary and Jiron Basumatary, BTC Executive Members Arup Kumar Dey, Reo Reoa Narzihary, Wilson Hasda and BTC MCLA Sajal Kumar Singha, Special Director General of Police GP Singh, Secretaries of Government of Assam Bhaskar Phukan, Gautam Talukdar and Joint Secretary Dr. Sadnek Singh visited their allotted schools and evaluated the reading, writing and mathematical skills of the students as well as the school conditions and community participation therein.

The entire process was closely monitored by Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka along with Inspector of Schools Jagadish Prasad Brahma and officials of the Education Department. The Deputy Commissioner and senior officers visited various schools to monitor the ongoing Gunotsav to ensure smooth evaluation till its completion. The evaluation was held in 1,611 schools and covered more than 88 per cent students.
