G20 vows to roll back protectionist measures

NEW DELHI, July 12: With protectionism on the rise as a countervailing trend to globalisation, G20 trade ministers have committed to check and roll back protectionist measures with a view to boost global trade at a time of continuing economic slowdown, a statement said. Briefing the trade ministers in Shanghai, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General Roberto Azevedo said 2016 is likely to be the fifth consecutive year of trade growth below 3 per cent.(IANS)
