GRADE-III, GRADE-IV POSTS: Recruitment process to be completed by early 2023

GUWAHATI: Good news awaits job seekers in the new year as the Assam Government will complete the process of filling up more than 26,000 Grade IV and Grade III posts. This will be part of the government's commitment to provide 1 lakh jobs. While the results of the written exam for Grade IV posts were declared recently, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has almost completed the process for the declaration of the results of the written exam for Grade III posts.

SEBA conducted the written exam for Grade III posts on August 28 and September 11 while for Grade IV posts, the written test was conducted on August 21. According to sources, SEBA will be submitting the results to the recruitment commission for Grade III posts and the results are expected to be declared in the first week of November.

The results of the written test for the Grade IV posts were declared on October 18. The personal interview is expected to be conducted in December. Candidates were selected in a 1:2 ratio, which means that there are two candidates for a post.

On the other hand, after the written exam results are declared, the personal interview for Grade III posts is expected to be conducted towards the end of December or in the first half of January 2023. The government plans to complete the recruitment process within the first half of 2023.

More than 12 lakh candidates appeared for the written exams for the Grade III and Grade IV posts. Some candidates had appeared for multiple Grade III posts (HS and degree level).
