Guwahati-Silchar FlyBig flights to carry stranded people

GUWAHATI: FlyBig started flights between Guwahati and Silchar to carry stranded people from both destinations. A sortie took 70 passengers to Silchar from Guwahati today and came back with as many passengers from Silchar. This flight operation is for ten days. A passenger pays Rs 3,000, and the State Government bears the rest under a deal reached between FlyBig and ATDC (Assam Tourism Development Corporation). The sudden hike in airfare from Silchar led the government to take such a measure.
