Guwahati, Nov 22: Gauhati High Court has issued notices to tiol Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), its MD and General Mager following filing of a petition against the PSU for allegedly not paying compensation to around 8,000 persons who were running various trades from rented premises on the Sepon-Numaligarh stretch of NH-37. NHIDCL has been given four weeks to file reply. As part of the ongoing project to expand the highway, many roadside structures were demolished by NHIDCL.
