
Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has set July 1 as the date of hearing of charges against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and two others over crimes against humanity.
The other two accused involved in the case include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. The three-member tribunal, led by Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, passed the order on Tuesday.
Former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun was produced before the court during the hearing. According to a report by the Bangladeshi daily, Prothom Alo, the ICT on June 17 published a notice on two national dailies, asking former PM Sheikh Hasina and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to surrender on Tuesday.
