Financial cyber frauds are on the prowl. If you get defrauded, never waste time calling the state CID's helpline number – 155260 – giving details – name, mobile number, name and account number of the bank/wallet/merchant etc., from which the amount got debited.

The 24X7 CID help desk uploads details of the fraudulent withdrawal of money on the "Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System". The bank/wallet/merchant concerned that is also part of the portal receives details of the information. If the money does not leave the system, the bank/wallet/merchant concerned can block it. They generate an automatic message and send it to the complainant to lodge a formal complaint at www.cybercrime.gov.in within 24 hours.
