ISLAMABAD: The United Opposition voted out Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in the no-confidence motion moved against him. In the 342-member House, 174 members voted against Khan. The majority needed for the win was 172. The National Assembly was to meet at 2 am on Sunday to nominate the new Prime Minister.

Earlier, the Pakistan Government transferred Imran Khan's, Secretary Azam Khan. The Opposition leader was invited to preside over the Assembly session as the Pakistan National Assembly Speaker and his Deputy resigned.

Before that the Supreme Court Bar filed a contempt of court petition on a no-confidence motion. A prisoners' van was kept standing in front of the Parliament House and airports were alerted. (Agencies)
