GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated to scattered rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on January 12 and January 13, 2022 and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh during January 11 to January 13. According to a press release issued by the IMD on Monday, the western disturbances and cyclonic circulation followed by the confluence of winds of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal have triggered a spell over parts of North West, Central and Eastern India. As a result, scattered light/moderate rainfall/snowfall is very likely over the Western Himalayan region till January 11. It will continue over States like Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Jharkhand till January 14. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh during January 11 to January 13 and isolated to scattered rainfall is very likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on January 12 and January 13.
