Information about Vidyalakshmi Scheme

This is an education loan platform initiated by the Government of India. It provides financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. Vidyalakshmi is a first-of-its-kind portal for students seeking education loans. This portal has been developed under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education), and the Indian Banks Association (IBA).

The portal has been developed and is being maintained by Protean eGov Technologies Limited (formerly NSDL eGovernance Infrastructure Limited). Students can view, apply for, and track the education loan applications to banks anytime, anywhere by accessing the portal. The portal also provides linkages to the National Scholarship Portal.
