INFORMATION: Wage compensation for pregnant TEA workers

Under this scheme, you can get Rs 12,000 as wage loss compensation in four installments. In the first installment, Rs 2,000 is paid upon registration for ANC (antenatal care) and Rs 4,000 is paid as the second installment after six months of pregnancy. While Rs 3,000 is paid during delivery, another Rs 3,000 is paid in the sixth-week after birth of the baby.

All you will have to do is to get in touch with the ASHA karmi of your garden area who prepares the list of beneficiaries under this scheme. It's the ASHA karmi who confirms the pregnancy. Once pregnancy is confirmed, the ASHA karmi identifies the eligibility of the applicant for the scheme. If eligible, the ASHA karmi will give you a compensation card to let you avail the financial benefits. The ASHA karmi does everything for a pregnant woman under this scheme.
