Investments in crores for Assam executed: Chandra Mohan Patowary

GUWAHATI: Industries & Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Thursday informed the Assembly that the State has so far been able to execute investments to the tune of Rs 8777.94 crore following the MoUs signed with various companies and investors during the Advantage Assam Summit last year.

Replying to various queries on present investment scenario in the State raised in the House by the Congress MLA Abdul Khaleque, Patowary said besides Rs 8777.94 crore, the State has also executed Rs 14,491.54 crore investment proposals from various investors. He said investment proposals of Rs 28,334.65 crore for the State are currently lying at various stages.

Patowary informed the Assembly that an expenditure of Rs 41.65 crore was incurred in organizing the Global Investors’ Summit-Advantage Assam in Guwahati in February last year.
