Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council poll, Koklabari bye-election today

The KAAC (Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council) will go to the poll tomorrow.

GUWAHATI: The KAAC (Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council) will go to the poll tomorrow. The Koklabari BTC constituency in the Baksa district will also go to bye-poll tomorrow. The voting will start at 7.30 am and conclude at 4.30 pm through secret ballots.

The counting of the KAAC election and the BTC constituency bye-election will be on June 12. According to the Assam State Election Commission (SEC), 154 candidates are in the fray for 26 seats of KAAC members. KAAC has 7,03,298 voters in 906 polling stations. Lumbajong constituency has the highest number of 69,815 voters, and Sarupathar has the lowest number of 10,128 voters in the autonomous council.

Koklabari in the BTC is witnessing a four-cornered contest. The constituency has 72,416 voters in 97 polling stations.
