GUWAHATI, June 23: At a time when the Congress in Assam is haunted by gloom and doom for drawing blank in the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) poll, a cold war between Rajiv Bhawan and Koi-Dhora is set to do the worst for it. The cold war that was latent over the past few days in the party came to the fore today when former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and former MP Dwijen Sarma addressed the press today, barely an hour apart. While Gogoi addressed the media at Koi-Dhora from 1.30 pm, Sarma addressed the press at Rajiv Bhawan from 2.30 pm. An embarrassed Sarma had to tell the media that his was APCC’s official press meet. The statement from the former MP seemed to have rendered the press meet addressed by Gogoi 'unofficial' even as he said.
