GUWAHATI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given permission for taking classes in Kokrajhar Medical College from this academic session. According to Health Minister Keshab Mahanta, it is the tenth medical college in the state to start MBBS courses. He said that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board Chairman informed Kokrajhar Medical College principal of this. “Kokrajhar Medical College’s fulfilment of NMC norms led to this permission,” the minister said. The NMC has allowed 100 MBBS seats for this academic session.
