Major DC reshuffle

GUWAHATI, Feb 20: In a major administrative reshuffle Deputy Commissioners have been transferred across the State. Dr M Angamuthu is posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Urban Development Department in addition to his substantive post. He has been relieved from the additiol charge of DC Kamrup (M) and DC, East  Kamrup, which posts have been given to Jorhat DC Virendra Mittal. Sibsagar DC rayan Konwar is the new Jorhat DC.  Karbi Anglong DC Adil Khan will be the new Hailakandi DC while Majuli DC Pallav Gopal Jha will be the new Sibsagar DC. Hailkandi DC Krish Govinda Bhuyan will take over as Additiol Secretary, Government of Assam, Home and Political Department. Director Cultural Affairs and MD Films (Fince and Development) Corporation Deba Prasad Misra will be the Majuli DC. District Development Commissioner, Kamrup (M) Barli Sarma will be the new Director of Cultural Affairs, Assam. Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home, Political and Parliamentary Affairs Department and Director Official Languages Implementation Mridul Kumar Mahanta will be the new Karbi Anglong DC.
